Stuttering Problems

This video clearly shows the problem that is plaguing many players. While there is no official fix, there are a number of tricks that seem to help some people.

• If you are running the game in DX11 mode, try switching to DX9 mode instead.
• While the game is running, open up the task manager, right click on the AVP.exe, and ensure the priority is set to "Normal" and not "Low".
• If you have an Nvidia card, open up the nvidia control panel, click "manage 3d settings", and click the program settings tab. Then hit the add button, and scroll to the directory of avp's exe and add it. (Usually C:\steam\steamapps\common\avp)

Game won't restart properly

Navigate to the avp directory (C:\steam\steamapps\common\avp) and check to see if AVP.EXE.OLD exists. If it does, rename it to just AVP.EXE. Now try running the game again.

Predator's disc / plasma weapons don't work right

I haven't really seen this posted anywhere else, and I don't really have a real fix at the moment. I've got an MX Revolution mouse, and if I set the predator's secondary weapon to either Mouse 4 or Mouse 5 I have problems. Apparently these two buttons aren't able to detect that you are holding htem down, they just register a single click. That being said, the weapons won't charge correctly. The easiest fix is to just assign the secondary attack to a key on your keyboard.
